Mission and Vision

Our primary mission is to educating, empowering, advocating, encouraging peace and promoting international understanding through our Indigenous people who possess enrollment/status within their own Native communities in North America.

Our vision is for Indigenous communities (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind and hearing tribal members) to provide positive approach in Indigenous way through five R’s (Respect, Responsibility, Relationship, Relevance and Reciprocity). Our goals are:

• Strengthen our relationship within Indigenous/Native communities by seeking community-based solution to communal needs.

• Improve indigenous-led research on much needed services for disabled Indigenous people. Developing reliable data on our Indigenous communal needs.

• Develop accurate educational materials about Indigenous people.

• Improve training and teaching to Native and non-Native educators, interpreters and community members.

• Recruit more Native interpreters to work in Indigenous communities.

• Restore Indigenous communities to a full healthy relationship with various or different tribes.

• Mentoring and teaching Indigenous youth academically through physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

• Preserving all tribal signed languages.

EDUCATE

Educating the Native and non-Native communities on relevant issues through presentations, events, teaching and social media.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Advocating for our communities by developing resources to support teaching and reduce misconception about us.

EMPOWERMENT

Providing, networking, sharing information and future planning for our communities and beyond.
